ABOUT DAIJHA
Born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, I am an old soul with a modern mind. Having had the influence of four generations of family members before me, I have learned from my elders the importance of understanding the past to create a bright and promising future.

I am a Syracuse University graduate with a Bachelor of Science in public relations and a Bachelor of Arts in political philosophy. I have a passion for communications and believe in communicators’ impact on society. I enjoy working in the community and want to make the world a better place and give voices to those who do not have them.

PERSONAL CODE OF ETHICS
As an African-American woman, I welcome diversity and inclusion. I respect the ideas, opinions and thoughts of everyone, regardless of their backgrounds or identities. Those identities include, but are not limited to, sex, gender, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, age, culture, socioeconomic class and political beliefs. I will encourage the participation of people from different backgrounds and identities in discussion to provide a diverse set of thoughts and ideas for the marketplace of ideas.
Be Respectful.
Diversity is an integral part of any organization. I will respect people of all backgrounds and identities. I will respect my colleagues and their opinions even when they differ from my own. I will always be open-minded. I will always work to create a safe space where everyone feels comfortable and free to express themselves.
Be Honest.
Honesty is the best policy. It establishes credibility and reliability. I will always be transparent and forthright when communicating and giving information to the public. I will hold myself and those around me accountable for our actions. I will work to improve the reputation of my organization by always being honest and truthful.
Be Genuine.
Sincerity sells. I will always work with empathy and sympathy for others. I will always consider the best interest of all involved parties before making decisions. I will always communicate sincerely and genuinely with the public. I will always follow my passion for helping people.
Be Knowledgeable.
Knowledge is the greatest power any person could ever possess. I will always strive to learn more and know more. I will look for extra opportunities to expand my mind and reach toward a greater goal. I will always focus on being current in my education so I can provide my most informed work to my organization.
Be True.
Be true to yourself. I will always stick to my morals and values that serve as the foundation for which I have been built. I will always remain true to the personal code of ethics I have outlined above. I will never compromise my integrity for the sake of success.
